About Us
Hand In Hand Eastern Africa-Tanzania (HiH EA-TZ) is an NGO registered by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children with a mandate to operate within the United Republic of Tanzania.
HiH Tz is a registered NGO and part of the global Hand in Hand international network. Our overarching mission is to work for the economic and social empowerment of marginalized women, youth, and men by supporting the creation of sustainable enterprises and jobs.
HIH Tz has been in the country since 2016 and started operations in 2018 covering Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions where it has mobilized and trained over 18,000 members, 80%+ being women and 30%+ youth. Their operations are clustered around 9 projects on economic and social empowerment
Our Impact
The HiH EA enterprise development model is premised on the need to create sustainable income generating activities by addressing major challenges facing many small-scale farmers/entrepreneurs. The Hand in Hand approach sees job creation as a highly effective development tool where micro-entrepreneurs are key drivers for economic
