13,229 migrants and refugees from West Africa arrived in Italy using the Central Mediterranean Route, including 6,424 Nigerians, 1,193 Guineans, 1,426 Ivoirians, 1,165 Gambians, 951 Senegalese, 992 Malians, and 821 Ghanaians.
