The two Global Compacts are meant to better manage global population movement and improve global coordination on migration and refugees. To what extent then do the Compact now serve as global tools to deal with the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on refugees and migration and provide guidance for international cooperation, response and policy making? To what extent are the Compacts fit for purpose and meet the test in this pivotal year? And what will be the impact of this crisis on (future implementation of) the two Compacts themselves? These were among the questions being discussed at a webinar on 14 October 2020 co-organised by Mixed Migration Centre and Danish Refugee Council.
